No more copying WhatsApp orders by hand: one tap prints the ticket, and the list shows the day's orders and totals.
Many restaurants still copy every WhatsApp order onto paper. The printed order does that for you. It works together with the online order.
How it works
1. The customer orders on the site. They choose the items and how they will pay, and send it on WhatsApp as usual.
2. The order reaches your WhatsApp with a link. The last line of the message is “Imprimir pedido” (print order). Open that link on the device connected to the printer.
3. Tap Imprimir (print). The ticket gets its order number and comes out of the printer with the items, the total, the name, the address, the notes and the payment choice the customer made. Printing the same order again keeps its number.
Printing goes through the browser's print window. Nothing prints without your tap.
The list of printed orders
You get a private link, which is also on your site's stats page. There you choose a day and see:
- each order, with its number, time, items and total;
- the total per item, so you know how much of each dish went out;
- the totals for the day, the week and the month.
The Imprimir button prints the list at the ticket's width, to close the day.
What it is not
The list counts printed orders, at the prices of the first print. It is not the amount received: the site neither receives nor checks payments, and “Pagamento: Dinheiro” (payment: cash) is only what the customer said they will use. An order that was not printed, or that came out without a number, is not on the list. The list starts empty on the day the add-on is switched on.
The site keeps only the number, time, items and total, for one year. Names, addresses and notes are not kept: they come in the WhatsApp message and only appear on the ticket.
How to switch it on
You don't have to do anything in the editor: I switch it on and set it up for you. Just tell me:
- the paper: an 80 mm or 58 mm roll, or A4;
- the payment methods you accept, and whether you want the “Troco para” (change for) box;
- your next order number, to continue your numbering, and whether it restarts every day, month or year.
I also set a PIN, typed once on each device, so that only your business can take numbers and add to the list.
